5 Tips for a Stress-Free Faro Airport Transfer
Faro Airport is one of Southern Europe's busiest holiday gateways, and the journey from the terminal to your hotel or villa sets the tone for your entire trip. Follow these five tips to make it effortless.
1. Book in Advance
Private transfers can fill up during peak summer months (July and August). Booking at least 48 hours ahead guarantees your vehicle and driver, and often secures a better rate.
2. Share Your Flight Details
Always give your transfer company your flight number, not just the scheduled arrival time. Professional drivers track live flight data — if your plane is delayed, your driver will wait without charging extra.
3. Choose the Right Vehicle Size
Travelling with a large group or lots of luggage? A standard saloon car is perfect for up to 3 passengers with moderate bags. For 4–7 people or bulky golf bags and pushchairs, request a minivan or MPV.
4. Meet Your Driver in Arrivals
Your driver will be waiting in the arrivals hall with a name board. After clearing customs, look for the "Meeting Point" signage — it's just past baggage reclaim. No need to queue for a taxi or navigate bus schedules.
5. Confirm the Drop-Off Address
Before you travel, double-check your villa or hotel's exact address and any access notes (e.g., gate codes, narrow lanes). Sending these to your transfer company in advance saves time at drop-off and avoids any last-minute confusion.
At Trustways, every transfer is handled by an experienced, licensed driver who knows the Algarve roads inside out. From Faro, Lisbon, and Seville airports to any destination in the Algarve — we make sure your journey starts the right way.
